Traveling to Guadalajara
When booking your flights, you can choose to fly out of Los Angeles, LAX (nonstop flight 3 hrs) or use the CBX bridge to fly from San Diego to Guadalajara (nonstop flight 2.5 hrs). We highly recommend taking an Uber or taxi from the airport to your hotel for a smooth and hassle-free arrival.

Guadalajara is in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone, which is 1 hour ahead of Pacific Time (PST).
🗣️ Language:
The primary language spoken in Guadalajara is Spanish, but don’t worry—English is commonly understood in tourist areas and hotels.
🌤️ Weather Forecast:
Typically, the weather in Guadalajara during our wedding should be mid 70s to 80s with sunny conditions. We recommend packing light layers for the warm days.
CBX Tijuana
The Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is a great alternative to LAX. It offers shorter wait times, lower airfare, and a direct pedestrian bridge connecting San Diego to Tijuana Airport (TIJ), making border crossing seamless. With cheaper parking, fewer crowds, and more direct flights to Guadalajara, CBX saves time and hassle compared to the congestion and long lines at LAX. Bruce and I have used the CBX bridge multiple times and can share our experience if you have any questions! On our last trip, it took us only about 25 minutes from parking to reaching our gate.

We’ve reserved a room block at Hyatt Regency Andares Guadalajara for our wedding guests. The hotel sits above a mall, so there are many places to grab a bite to eat or shop

This hotel is close to the Hyatt and a much more economical hotel.
Hotel Quinta Real Guadalajara
This hotel is a little further from the hotel shuttle location however a great alternative. We have personally stayed here and love the spacious rooms!
